These long tube headers do not connect to the factory exhaust. Completing the system needs Kooks front connection pipes plus either the OEM adapters or an X-pipe or H-pipe.
The car will also need its ECU recalibrated after fitting. That is a requirement of the part, not an upsell: Kooks note that a P0420 or P0430 code is a symptom rather than a fault in the cats, and that it is usually resolved in the calibration or by finding an exhaust leak. Arrange the calibration with whoever normally handles your tuning, and check what is permitted where your vehicle is registered before you buy.

Power
Kooks publish the expected gain for their headers as: Typically in the range of 15 to 20 hp with a tune, unless otherwise stated. Figures vary with the rest of the combination, the fuel and the calibration. We do not publish dyno numbers of our own for this part.
Primary tube sizes
Kooks’ own guidance is that bigger is not always better: use the smallest primary your engine and power target allow, to keep both torque and top end.

Hardware and torque
Kooks specify the OEM torque spec and sequence. Torque the flanges as you would an OEM manifold.
There are people at the other end of this. If you are nearby, come by and talk the build through in person. Further out, the same conversation happens on the phone or by email, and it is worth having before you order: headers on their own do not finish the system, and what is permitted depends on where the car is registered and what it is used for.

California law prohibits the use of any aftermarket exhaust part that modifies, removes or replaces original equipment catalysts unless the California Air Resources Board has issued an Executive Order for that part, or the part is used only on racing vehicles on closed courses. Kooks make no representation that this part has received an Executive Order or that it conforms to the racing vehicle exemption.
