Pulled on a Dynojet at EMS — FFP’s tuning partner. The curves below are the actual dyno sheets from a Stage 2 build, not manufacturer marketing claims. Same turbo, two fuel maps.

The original NX2 has been our go-to drop-in turbo for the 2015–2023 EcoBoost Mustang — proven on track, dyno-validated, and Formula Drift competition-tested. When Precision released the Next Gen CEA compressor wheel platform, the NX2 got a second act: more billet, more torque, more headroom on E85 — with the same drop-in, no-cut, no-weld install.
The Stage 2 Next Gen is a 56 mm Next Gen CEA compressor wheel in the same OEM-replacement housing. Same direct fitment. Same no-modifications installation. But 90 more horsepower out the back, stronger midrange response, and a wheel profile that makes more power at the same boost pressure than the original NX2.
The magic is in the wheel. Precision’s Next Gen CEA (Competition Engineered Aerodynamics) compressor wheel is machined from a single 2618-aluminum forging with blade geometry refined from a decade of record-run data. Compared to the original NX2’s 50 mm wheel, the 56 mm Next Gen has a wider efficiency island, higher pressure ratio capability, and surge margin that stays wide under hard boost spikes.
What that means on pavement: cleaner spool off boost, more usable midrange torque, and the turbo keeps pulling hard past the point where the Stage 1 would start to flatline. Same OEM housings, same plug-and-play fitment — just a smarter wheel.

Drop the stock turbo out, bolt the NX2 Stage 2 in. No adapters, no custom plumbing, no engine harness modifications. The OEM-pattern housings mean it bolts directly to the factory exhaust manifold and downpipe. Average install time is 4–6 hours for a home mechanic with basic tools and a Saturday.
Tune is recommended but not strictly required — the turbo will make meaningful gains on stock calibration. For the full 410 WHP Chelsea DeNofa number, pair it with a flex-fuel or E85 tune and a quality intake.
Precision backs the Stage 2 Next Gen with a full 1-year warranty. No-fault means they cover it even if the turbo failure wasn’t a manufacturing defect. No-hassle means you call, you ship it, they fix it or replace it. That level of warranty is rare on a sub-$3K bolt-on turbo for this platform — Precision stands behind every unit they ship.
Real install, real dyno, real driving impressions — straight from the FFP shop. Both videos cover the NX2 platform: install walkthrough, dyno results, and what the turbo feels like on the street.
