Fitment First

It Is Not a Bronco With Bigger Tyres.

Ford quotes the Bronco Raptor at 418 horsepower and 440 pound-feet from a 3.0L EcoBoost V6. Every other Bronco runs the 2.3L four or the 2.7L six. That single difference invalidates most of the airflow catalogue: an intake, a charge pipe or a catch can written for a 2.7L does not fit this truck, and we file them apart for exactly that reason.

The body is its own problem. The Raptor is wider, carries its own flares and its own cooling openings, and rides on 37 x 12.5R17 tyres over HOSS 4.0 suspension with FOX Live Valve 3.1 dampers and 13 inches of travel at the front, 14 at the rear. Panels, flares and vents are cut for that width. Order Raptor bodywork from the Raptor page, not from the Bronco it is named after.

Start Where the Heat Is.

Where To Start

Two Turbos, Thirty-Seven Inch Tyres, a Lot of Heat.

This truck is heavy, geared for 37s and boosted, which means it makes heat faster than it makes power. Charge pipes and intercooler plumbing come first because they are what give up when a twin-turbo V6 is worked in the desert. An intake follows, because the restriction ahead of the turbos is the real ceiling.

Exhaust is the mod people buy first and it will not hurt anything, but on a turbo engine it changes the sound more than the number. A calibration is what ties hardware together — and on a truck this heavy it is worth writing for load, not for a peak figure. Tell us if you tow or run dunes and it gets specced that way.

FAQs

Know Your Bronco Raptor.

Will standard Bronco parts fit a Bronco Raptor?

Mostly no, and the engine is the reason. The Raptor runs the 3.0L EcoBoost V6 while every other Bronco runs the 2.3L or the 2.7L, so intakes, charge pipes, catch cans and exhaust do not carry over. The body is wider as well, so flares, vents and panels are their own parts. Interior pieces for the four-door cab are the main things that do cross.

What engine does the Bronco Raptor have?

A 3.0L twin-turbo EcoBoost V6. Ford quotes up to 418 horsepower and 440 pound-feet, through a 10-speed automatic. It is the same family as the Ranger Raptor engine, but order against this page rather than assuming the two are interchangeable.

What should I fit first?

Charge pipes. On a twin-turbo engine in a heavy truck the plumbing between the turbos and the intercooler is the first thing to fail under sustained boost and heat, and it is the cheapest insurance on the list. Intake next, exhaust after that.

Do I need a tune?

For an intake or a cat-back, no. For charge pipes, an intercooler or anything that changes how boost behaves, yes — the factory calibration is written around the factory hardware, and leaving it in place gives away most of what you paid for.

Should I change the suspension?

We would leave it alone. It runs HOSS 4.0 with FOX Live Valve 3.1 internal bypass semi-active dampers and 13 inches of travel at the front and 14 at the rear from the factory. Springs or lifts that fight that system cost you more in ride and travel than they return in stance.

Which years does this page cover?

The Bronco Raptor from 2022 onward. Parts carry their own year ranges, so check the range on the listing before you order.
