Fitment First

Two Powertrains, One Badge.

The Maverick ships as a hybrid and as a 2.0L EcoBoost, and almost nothing on this page fits the hybrid. Blow off valves, downpipes, intercoolers and fuel pumps all assume the turbocharged 2.0L, because that is the truck people build.

Check the engine before the year. A 2023 hybrid and a 2023 EcoBoost are the same truck from the outside and completely different underneath.

Boost, Then Fuel.

Where To Start

A Small Turbo Runs Out of Air Before It Runs Out of Fuel.

The 2.0L EcoBoost makes its power on boost, so the first honest change is the one that lets the turbo keep it: a downpipe to clear the hot side, then an intercooler so the charge air is still cold at the end of a pull.

Fuel is the ceiling after that. The factory pump is sized for the factory tune, and a high pressure pump is what lets a calibration ask for more than stock without pulling timing. A catch can protects the intake valves on a direct injected engine, which matters more on a truck people keep.

FAQs

Know Your Maverick Inside and Out.

Do these parts fit the hybrid Maverick?

Almost none of them. The hybrid uses a naturally aspirated 2.5L, so anything to do with boost, charge air or turbo fuelling is for the 2.0L EcoBoost only. Suspension is the usual exception. If you are not sure which you have, the EcoBoost is the one with the turbo badge on the window sticker and the option of all wheel drive.

What should I buy first?

A catted downpipe. It is the change that lets the turbo spool and hold boost, and it is the one that makes an intercooler or a calibration worth paying for afterwards.

Is a tune safe on a Maverick?

On stock fuel, a conservative calibration is fine. What gets people into trouble is asking for a lot of boost while the factory fuel system is still in place, which is why the fuel pump sits ahead of the aggressive tune in the order above.

Will a coilover ruin the bed rating?

A coilover changes ride height and damping, not the frame, but a truck set low with a soft spring rate will run out of travel with weight in the bed. Tell us if you carry or tow and we will spec the rate accordingly.

Does a blow off valve need anything else?

No, a blow off valve is a bolt-on, and on a recirculating setup it will not change how the truck runs on its own. It is a sound and a response change, not a power change, so buy it because you want it rather than expecting numbers.
