About ZL1 Addons — Born from the Camaro Community
ZL1 Addons was founded in 2016 in Poway, California by a Camaro ZL1 owner who got tired of watching floor jacks destroy rocker panels on lowered performance cars. The first product — the Jack MagPad — was a magnetic jacking pad designed to protect the ZL1’s pinch welds. Early orders were literally packed and shipped from a spare bedroom.
After the founder bought a Z/28 and experienced the universal frustration of front splitters scraping and ripping off over speed bumps, he developed stainless steel splitter guard washers with a 45-degree bevel designed to glide over road surfaces rather than catch. Those washers were eventually adopted by NASCAR teams.
