OEM McLaren Service
The McLaren official service sheets give us two lists of parts; one list comprising parts and what mileage they need replacing at, and one with parts to replace depending on age. We rarely see a McLaren that actually 'needs' these parts replacing, so we undertake condition-based servicing where we replace only those items that need to be replaced.
The Honest Way
We have created a service schedule that is determined by what the vehicle needs based on age and usage. There are no 'major' or 'minor' services — we prefer to be more transparent and detail exactly what is included. This ensures your vehicle is serviced within accordance with McLaren's requirements (warranty compliance) and gives you peace of mind.
Service Items
All items below are McLaren genuine parts unless otherwise stated.
Wiper Blades
Listed on every service sheet but 90% of the time the blades are in perfect condition.
Cabin Filter
Checked and replaced when required. For vehicles that do little mileage, we find these often don't need replacing.
Air Filters
Mileage and age-specific. We recommend air filters be replaced every 2 years.
Park Brake Pads
McLaren recommends replacement every 20,000 miles, but we replace them on condition. Carbon-Ceramic or Steel Disc compatible.
Brake Fluid
McLaren recommends every 2-3 years. We advise more frequent replacement for track use or long storage. We use Motul DOT 5.1 or RBF 700.
Clutch Oil & Filter
Recommended every 20,000 miles. We use McLaren spec FFL-4 Clutch oil.
Gearbox Oil & Filter
Genuine McLaren specification fluids for optimal performance and longevity.
Coolant
Checked and replaced according to condition and McLaren specifications.
