MSD 2016-2017 Ford Mustang GT 2-Step Launch Control
If your Coyote-powered Ford was built after February 23, 2016, and you need a 2-Step rev-limiter for consistent burnouts or launches, MSD part number 87311 has you covered. When activated, the 2-Step will hold your engine at a constant RPM. This can be achieved by way of a clutch switch or push button. As soon as your activation switch or button is released, full ignition is restored and you’re off to the races. The rpm is adjusted with two built-in rotary dials ranging from 1,000-10,900 rpm in 100 rpm increments. A handy LED shows when the launch rev limit is active.
MSD wants your time at the track or drag strip to be awesome, so if you’ve been searching for that extra boost of power, then this launch module is exactly what you need! You’ll be able to launch your Mustang anywhere from 1,800 RPM and 9,900 RPM in 100 RPM increments. It will give your pony more consistent launches, meaning you’ll have faster 60-foot times and quicker ET/MPH down the quarter-mile. When the 2-Step Module is activated, the set RPM will be held steady. Once the green LED lights up, slip your foot off the clutch and you’re off. The launch RPM can be adjusted by two rotary dials that are built into the module.
