This intake features a pre-oiled filter. An oil filter allows for better airflow while filtering out 98% of contaminants. A dry filter is designed for dry and dusty climates and while airflow is not as good as the oiled filter, it filters out 99% of contaminants. The dry filter will not be restricted by dust as quickly as an oiled filter in a dusty climate.

Outflows Stock Intake By Over 27%. AFE’s Explorer ST intake features a high flow cotton gauze that allows a larger volume of air through while retaining exceptional filtration. A mesh screen protects the gauze and adds rigidity. The filter comes pre-oiled and is washable and reusable to allow you to get a lot of use out of one filter and eliminates the expense of buying a filter again.
Quick Installation, No Cutting or Drilling Into OEM parts! AFE made installation easy and simple. No cutting or modification is necessary when installing the Momentum GT kit.
High-Quality Construction. The intake tube is made from a cross-linked polyethylene housing that is durable and shields the filter from engine bay heat.
