Anderson Composites 2015-2017 Ford Mustang Type-GT5 Double Sided Carbon Fiber Hood

Type-GT5 (GT500 Style) double-sided carbon fiber hood for 2015-2017 Ford Mustang. This hood features a large 19 x 26-inch louvered vent totaling 3.43 square feet for heat extraction and increases front end downforce.

*CARBON FIBER “SKELETON” BONDED TO UNDERSIDE OF CARBON FIBER HOOD – REDUCED WEIGHT

*MODIFICATIONS MAY BE NECESSARY FOR CORRECT FITMENT OF THE O.E. WINDSHIELD WASHER SPRAY NOZZLE SYSTEM AS PART OF THE NORMAL INSTALLATION PROCESS

*Metal mesh screens are removable and paintable

*Mounts with OE hardware, hinges, and latch 

*Hood pins required for safety reasons – AeroCatch or Quic-Latch 

*Heat shield required 

*Always carefully close a composite hood. Slamming or dropping the hood may cause it to crack.

*Anderson Composites does not suggest re-installing gas shocks/dampers/struts

*The use of a hood prop rod is highly recommended

*Hoods are handcrafted and weigh approximately 24.9 lbs. 

*ALWAYS CAREFULLY CLOSE A COMPOSITE HOOD. SLAMMING OR DROPPING THE HOOD MAY CAUSE IT TO CRACK.
