The ECUMaster EMU Black is a full standalone engine management unit designed for high-performance and competition builds where the factory ECU is no longer capable of managing the engine. Whether you’re running an engine swap, forced induction build, individual throttle bodies, or a complete race engine, the EMU Black gives you full control over fueling, ignition timing, boost, drive-by-wire throttle, and wideband AFR — all from a single compact unit with a built-in 4-bar MAP sensor. With 8 injector drivers, 6 high-current direct coil drivers, onboard DBW control, and an IP65-rated weatherproof enclosure, the EMU Black handles everything from naturally aspirated track cars to 40+ PSI turbo builds without requiring additional modules or breakout boxes.

For competition use only. This product does not carry a CARB EO number and is not legal for use on emissions-controlled vehicles in states that require emissions testing.

Installation

The EMU Black requires custom wiring to your engine’s sensors, injectors, coils, and throttle body. A vehicle-specific wiring harness adapter (sold separately for common platforms) or a custom pinout wiring job is required. Tuning is performed via the free EMU Black software over USB. Professional installation and tuning by a qualified EFI tuner is strongly recommended unless you have experience with standalone engine management systems.
