Motorcraft Mercon ULV is the only fluid approved for the 10R80 and is essential for maintaining smooth shifts, preventing shudder, and extending transmission life.

⚠️ Fluid Quantity Note: A standard 10R80 drain-and-fill typically requires 6-7 quarts depending on how much fluid drains out. This kit includes 6 quarts, which covers most drain-and-fill services. If your truck has been driven hard or towed recently (hotter fluid = more drainage), you may need an additional quart. A full transmission flush requires approximately 13 quarts — this kit is sized for a single drain-and-fill, not a flush.
We recommend purchasing an extra individual quart of XT-12-QULV as a safety margin, especially for first-time services.
