This heavy flywheel option 24lbs vs 16lbs, is preferred for mainly street driving. The lightweight 16lb version is best used at the track for continual high RPM driving styles. Their 9000 series twin disc is perfect for any Corvette C5 owner with bolt on upgrades like headers, intakes, cams, superchargers, nitrous or turbos. The ceremetallic friction material and all billet construction make it more durable than stock yet easy for everyday street driving and durable for track usage.

The Mantic Advantage

This Mantic Clutch kit uses unique sprung center with cushioned ceremetallic twin discs. This means more torque capacity and heat resistance while retaining excellent drivability. The Mantic Corvette clutch uses twin 9″ diameter discs that greatly reduces the Moment of Inertia (MOI) for a seamless transition of power between gears. More horsepower to the ground as well as quicker precise shifts is the huge benefit over the stock clutch. The lightweight flywheel allows quicker revs compared to the heavier OE units.

Heavy Flywheel

The special heavy flywheel is lighter than stock but not as light as their standard kit. This heavy flywheel is 24lbs, standard steel is 16lbs, while their lightweight aluminum version is 12lbs. This increases the daily driver capabilities for smoother transitions between gears with less rpm to get the car moving from a dead stop.

Rebuildable Clutch & Flywheel
The clutch is modular in construction for ease of service and is completely rebuildable. The red cover and components are machined from billet stock adding strength and durability. 100% Billet construction will not flex under heavy usage like other stamped steel units.
