The engineers at BMW did an excellent job striking a balance between exceptional power and cooling in the latest generation of BMW G8X M2, M3, and M4 models. Unfortunately, this meant positioning components, namely the oil cooler, in precarious positions. Placed on the undercarriage and parallel to the road’s surface, the G8X oil cooler is vulnerable to bumps, scrapes, debris, and other road hazards. The engineers at Mishimoto recognized this shortcoming while developing the Mishimoto 2021+ BMW G8X M2, M3, and M4 performance oil cooler, and in true Mishimoto fashion, pushed the limits to construct the Mishimoto 2021+ BMW G8X M2/M3/M4 skid plate. This skid plate is constructed from high-strength aluminum and features a cross-cut design to protect your stock or Mishimoto performance oil cooler while still allowing ample airflow. It includes a corrosion-resistant black powder-coated finish and everything required for a smooth and simple installation – no cutting or modifications necessary!
