Complete Motul Oil Change Kit for 2015-2025 Ford F-150 3.5L EcoBoost
Function Factory Performance uses Motul fluids in all of our shop vehicles. This kit includes everything you need for a single complete oil change on your F-150 3.5L EcoBoost.
This oil change kit includes:
- 6x Motul 8100 ECO-LITE 5W-30 (1L each) — 100% Synthetic, API SP-RC, ILSAC GF-6A
- 1x Motorcraft FL-500S OEM Oil Filter
⚠️ Why ECO-LITE and Not ECO-NERGY?
This is critical for US-market F-150 owners. Motul makes two 5W-30 oils that both say “Ford Approved” — but they meet completely different Ford specifications:
- ECO-NERGY 5W-30 — Meets Ford WSS-M2C913-D, a European Ford spec (ACEA A5/B5). Does NOT meet US EcoBoost requirements. No LSPI protection. Do not use in your F-150.
- ECO-LITE 5W-30 — Meets Ford WSS-M2C961-A1, the current US Ford EcoBoost specification. Full LSPI protection via API SP. This is the correct oil for your truck.

- Viscosity: SAE 5W-30
- Ford Spec: WSS-M2C961-A1 (supersedes WSS-M2C946-B1)
- Filter: Motorcraft FL-500S (Ford P/N AA5Z-6714-A)
- Drain Plug Torque: 20 ft-lbs

- 2011-2025 Ford F-150 3.5L EcoBoost (all generations)
- 2017-2020 Ford F-150 Raptor (Gen 2 — 3.5L EcoBoost HO)
- 2011-2025 Ford Expedition 3.5L EcoBoost
- 2018-2025 Ford Mustang EcoBoost 2.3L (also uses 5W-30 / FL-500S)
Note: 2021+ F-150 Raptor (Gen 3) uses the same 3.5L EcoBoost and is also compatible.
We recommend changing oil every 7,500 to 10,000 miles for normal driving. For towing, hauling, or spirited driving, change every 5,000 miles. For extreme use or track days, consider Motul 300V.
