SOUL’s Performance Exhaust offers a transformational sound experience by forgoing the factory valve programming and replacing the rear muffler with a bespoke x-pipe design. By routing exhaust from the factory headers into unique cast cones, through 3″ tubing to the x-pipe and out the 4″ tips, the full complement of sound from the 4.0-liter flat-six is available at any point in the rev range.

WHY NON-VALVED?

The GT3’s factory exhaust system caters to tightening emission and sound regulations, with the side effect of deadening the auditory experience. Even with valves open, the factory valve programming tames the excitable nature of the GT3 until 5,000 RPM where the flat-six finally sings. SOUL’s Performance Exhaust System removes the secondary valved flow path entirely to deliver the most sensational experience throughout the entire rev range.

CAST TRANSITION CONES

With the opportunity to design a no-compromises system – from CAD to CNC – Soul designed cast cones to transition with the least aggressive radius, allowing for peak flow from the large header flange to the exhaust section. The mating flanges and clamping surfaces are fully machined to ensure a perfect seal.

HELMHOLTZ RESONATORS

This non-valved system replaces the restrictive factory muffler, directing flow from the factory headers through uniquely-designed cast cones, through 3″ tubing and into the bespoke x-pipe design before exiting through your choice of 4″ tips. With factory headers and the Performance Exhaust System, emissions requirements will be unaffected and cabin presence will remain reasonable.

Early development revealed the presence of resonance/drone between 3,400-4,000 RPM, prompting the addition of tailored Helmholtz resonators to help smooth out these undesirable frequencies for a comfortable driving experience.

VALVE DELETE MODULES INCLUDED

This system includes Valve Delete Modules which plug into the factory valve harnesses to prevent check engine lights and rev limiter issues that would otherwise occur when removing the factory valved exhaust.

CONSTRUCTION

Each exhaust system is assembled in the USA out of mandrel bent, thick wall .065″ T304L stainless steel. Back-purged TIG welding with ARCAL™ Prime argon gas ensures proper weld penetration and longevity – crucial for durability on the track.
