This GTS-style carbon fiber hood gives your F22 2 series or F87 M2 a huge upgrade over the stock hood, adding a more aggressive look and a sportier feel, while also making your car lighter. This hood utilizes an air duct that helps to extract hot air, keeping your engine bay cooler. This hood also saves your BMW about 20 pounds, which is essential if you plan to track your M2 or 2 series. This piece is built using genuine 2×2 carbon fiber weave and coated with our high gloss clear coat to help with fading or discoloration over time. This hood installs onto your BMW using the factory mounting locations and hardware. Installation
Installation for this M2 GTS Style Hood is quite simple, as it uses OEM mounting locations. Our hood also has OEM style studs, unlike some other options on the market which makes installation more difficult. Installation can be completed in around 1-2 hours and requires standard hand tools. If you need installation in Southern California, we can get it done for you!
- Note: Your OEM hood struts are engineered with a heavier metal hood in mind and are not intended for carbon fiber hoods. We recommend removing the struts or replacing them with a strut with less resistance. When closing the hood, do not slam it but rather apply even pressure with the palms of your hands to get the hood to latch in place. Not following these instructions can lead to premature cracking or damage.
