Installation is straightforward as it is a bolt-on and utilizes OEM mounts. Each DTM style hood is crafted from genuine 2×2 carbon fiber weave and is finished with a clear coat that helps prevent damage over time and perfectly matches the look of any RW or OEM part you have installed on your BMW. Like all of our parts, each hood comes backed with RW Carbon’s superior fitment and quality guarantee to ensure you have a part that fits perfectly with your BMW.
Installation
Installation for this BMW G87 M2 Carbon Fiber DTM Hood is straightforward as it is a bolt-on and reuses OEM mounting locations. Professional installation is always recommended for the best fitment possible. If you need installation in Southern California, we can get it done for you!
- Note: Your OEM hood struts are engineered with a heavier metal hood in mind and are not intended for carbon fiber hoods. We recommend removing the struts or replacing them with a strut with less resistance. When closing the hood, do not slam it but rather apply even pressure with the palms of your hands to get the hood to latch in place. Not following these instructions can lead to premature cracking or damage.
