SPD Performance Custom Manufactured Mandrel Bent Exhaust Y-Pipe for 1999-2000 Ford Super Duty (F250-F550) and 2000 Excursion with 5.4L V8 and 6.8L V10 engines. Made in the USA with two 2.5-inch mandrel bent pipes transitioning to 3 inches. Replaces the restrictive factory formed Y-pipe that does not properly direct exhaust flow, causing loss of HP, torque and fuel efficiency. SPD’s collector utilizes pulse vacuum technology – by grouping primary exhaust tubes into a collector, the vacuum pulse from one cylinder creates a vacuum on other exhaust ports, causing exhaust to flow more quickly as valves open. Delivers an extra 1-2 MPG on 6.8L V10 models as acceleration and maintaining cruising speed takes much less throttle. Installation requires cutting out the old factory Y-pipe and welding in the new component. Comes equipped with a coupling for streamlined installation. For 2000 model year trucks, verification is needed as the design does not fit all variations. For off-road use only.
