SPD Performance Custom Manufactured Mandrel Bent Exhaust Y-Pipe for 2000-2004 Ford Super Duty (F250, F350, F450, F550) and Excursion with 5.4L V8 and 6.8L V10 engines, both 2WD and 4WD configurations. Made in the USA with two 2.5-inch mandrel bent pipes transitioning to 3 inches. The factory Y-pipe downsizes to 1.5-inch pipes which severely restricts exhaust flow. Dyno testing performed on an F-250 crew cab showed gains of 33 HP and 35 lb-ft of torque with 1-2 MPG improvement. Ford changed exhaust designs during 2000 model year creating old style and new style versions – Ford originally implemented restrictors to address exhaust flutter, and this performance alternative was engineered as a more efficient solution. Installation involves removing the old Y-pipe and welding in the replacement with included coupler. For racing competition use only.
