The HX Series Helmholtz resonated muffler upgrade is the final component to the ultimate Gen2 Raptor or HO Limited F-150 exhaust system. When combined with SPD’s equal length trombone resonator delete (RDFR20EL), there is no better sounding Gen2 Raptor exhaust on the market.
Straight-Through Performance Design
HX Series mufflers feature a straight-through design with no reductions or chambers inside the muffler, guaranteeing ultimate flow and performance. Unlike competitors that use loose pack dampening material (glass or metal wool/fibers) which breaks down from harsh exhaust vibrations, SPD’s HX Series uses hard pack sound dampening material that will not deteriorate over time.
Helmholtz Resonator Technology
The integrated Helmholtz resonator is specifically engineered for in-cab noise and drone reduction without making the exhaust too quiet. By targeting and neutralizing specific drone frequencies, you’ll still enjoy the exotic exhaust notes of the equal length trombone without the annoying drone. This system is highly recommended for trucks running aftermarket downpipes.
Built-In X-Pipe
An X-pipe was designed into the system to blend exhaust tones after the equal length trombone, producing a refined and aggressive sound signature unique to this setup.
