AWE AFM Valve Simulator — 2016–2024 Gen6 Camaro SS / ZL1 / LT1
Required for automatic-transmission Gen6 Camaros with Active Fuel Management (AFM) when running an AWE cat-back exhaust. Prevents AFM valve actuation, eliminating exhaust popping and CEL codes.

Do I Need This?
Yes — if your Gen6 Camaro SS/LT1 has an automatic transmission AND Active Fuel Management (AFM). AFM-equipped Camaros have electronically controlled exhaust valves that actuate based on ECU signals. Running an AWE cat-back without the Valve Simulator can cause exhaust popping, misfiring, or a CEL. The Simulator plugs into the stock harness and signals the ECU that the valves are properly positioned.
No — if your Camaro is a manual transmission, or does not have AFM. Also not required for axle-back installations (cat-back only).

Check your Camaro: AFM is standard on most automatic Gen6 Camaros. Manual-transmission cars and ZL1 (LT4) do not use AFM — Valve Sim not required.
