Track Edition: Mid-Engine Uncorked
The C8’s transaxle layout creates unique acoustic challenges. AWE engineered the Track Edition specifically for that mid-engine geometry — the result is a crisp, high-frequency V8 bark at high RPM and a deep, satisfying note at idle.
Sound Character
The LT2 V8 has a sharp, high-revving character compared to pushrod V8s. AWE’s C8 exhaust amplifies this — particularly in the upper rev range where the LT2 really comes alive. Track Edition: loud and crisp. Touring Edition: sporty with no drone penalty.
Construction
- U.S.-sourced T304L stainless steel, 0.065″ wall
- 3.0″ CNC mandrel-bent tubing — engineered for the mid-engine layout
- 4.5″ double-walled slash-cut tips (Chrome Silver or Diamond Black coated)
- Precision-tuned resonator section for either Track or Touring character
- Engineered, manufactured, and hand-finished in West Chester, PA by AWE Tuning
Installation
Direct bolt-on at the factory cat-back flanges. About 2–2.5 hours on a lift with basic hand tools. Designed specifically for the C8’s mid-engine, transaxle layout. No cutting, no welding, no tune required.
