The AWE Track Edition Cat-Back is the aggressive choice for the Volkswagen MK8 Golf R — louder tone,
straight-through flow, and now with AWE’s patented 180 Technology to keep interior drone in check
at highway speeds. This is the first AWE Golf R exhaust to include 180 Tech across the full lineup.
A slip-fit inlet adapter ensures perfect fitment to the factory downpipe while leaving an open 3″
connection for future downpipe upgrades. Conversion kits are available to swap between Track and
Touring editions without replacing the full system.
AWE’s patented drone-canceling technology uses precision-ported reflection chambers that generate
180-degree out-of-phase sound waves to neutralize problematic resonance frequencies — without
restricting flow or reducing performance. The result is a clean, aggressive exhaust note with
zero interior drone at cruising speeds.
