AWE 180 Technology® is built into the SwitchPath, eliminating drone at cruise speeds
in either valve position. The bespoke X-pipe is specifically tuned for the S58, delivering the
BMW-appropriate sound character — smooth, athletic, and unmistakably M.
AWE’s patented drone-canceling technology uses precision-ported reflection chambers that generate
180-degree out-of-phase sound waves to neutralize problematic resonance frequencies — without
restricting flow or reducing performance. The result is a clean, aggressive exhaust note with
zero interior drone at cruising speeds.
