The AWE Track Edition Cat-Back for the BMW G87 M2 is built around one goal: extracting maximum
performance from the S58. The bespoke X-pipe is specifically tuned for the S58’s sound character —
delivering a smooth, aggressive tone that complements the engine’s twin-turbo delivery without
going hollow or raspy.
Optional non-resonated mid-pipes (sold separately, SKU 3820-11489) add 13 lbs of weight savings
and a more aggressive tone for track use. Ball socket mounting points ensure easy installation and
perfect positioning within the G87’s tight chassis packaging.
AWE’s patented drone-canceling technology uses precision-ported reflection chambers that generate
180-degree out-of-phase sound waves to neutralize problematic resonance frequencies — without
restricting flow or reducing performance. The result is a clean, aggressive exhaust note with
zero interior drone at cruising speeds.
