The AMP Research PowerStep Vision is the most advanced illuminated power-retractable running board available for the 2021-2024 Ford F-150. Building on the proven PowerStep platform, the Vision adds a full-length LED Glow Light seamlessly integrated into each board — providing vibrant illumination when deployed and color-customizable accent lighting when retracted. The boards automatically deploy when any door opens, dropping significantly lower than fixed running boards for easier entry, then retract flush under the vehicle. The Smart Series app gives you total control over step operation and all lighting functions from your iOS or Android device.

Professional installation recommended. The PowerStep Vision uses a plug-and-play OBDII module with a wiring harness for integration with the factory electrical system — minimal cutting or splicing required. Vehicle-specific mounting brackets, hardware, and instructions included. Allow 2-3 hours for complete installation.
In adverse conditions, debris such as mud, dirt, and salt may become trapped in the running board mechanism. Use a pressure washer to clean all 4 hinge/linkage points (avoid spraying motors directly). After washing, apply silicone spray (dry film lubricant only) to all linkage arms and pivot pins, then cycle the door to work in the lubrication. Do not use greases, oils, WD-40, or protectants like Armor All on the running board surface.
