The Type-GT5 (GT500 Style) double-sided carbon fiber hood features a large 19 x 26-inch louvered vent, providing a total of 3.43 square feet for efficient heat extraction and increased front-end downforce. The hood boasts a sleek gloss finish, manufactured using a vacuum-infused process with 3K, 2×2 twill carbon fiber cloth. A carbon fiber “skeleton” is bonded to the underside of the hood, ensuring reduced weight and enhanced durability.

Please note that modifications may be necessary to properly fit the OE windshield washer spray nozzle system during installation. The removable and paintable mesh screen adds a customizable touch to the hood. Mounting with OE hardware, using hood pins (such as AeroCatch or Quic-Latch), and a heat shield is required for safety reasons.

To ensure the longevity of the composite hood, always close it carefully; slamming or dropping the hood may cause it to crack. Anderson Composites does not recommend reinstalling gas shocks, dampers, or struts. The use of a hood prop rod is highly recommended.
