A.i.R. is a fixed bucket with a “3D aero device” inspired by the flow of air in a 2-seater car. A model created with a new stream design for more intrepidness — the line from the belt hole to the head rest required several prototypes before reaching final form. Utilizing the FRP Silver shell, A.i.R. is finished at an extremely light 6.8 kg. BRIDE’s patented LOWMAX system secures more ceiling clearance — perfect seat position even for taller drivers in low-roof 2-seater cabins (MX-5, S2000, GR86/BRZ class). Seat surface uses a large convex egg shape — positioning the seat rail to insert this protrusion enables the ultimate low driving position.
Two colors: Black (F86ASF) and Red (F86BSF). Both share the same Silver FRP shell, flame-retardant fabric cover, and 6.8 kg weight. Not FIA-certified — A.i.R. is a street + sport / track-day seat tuned for 2-seater geometry, not a closed-circuit competition seat.
Behind the Build — 3D Stream Design
BRIDE refined A.i.R. through several shell prototypes — the belt-hole-to-head-rest line is the signature element. The hip-side adopts a semi-monocoque structure, increasing seatback rigidity overall and improving pedal operability under lateral G during high-speed cornering. The FRP underside (visible from below) shows the semi-monocoque ribbing.
LOWMAX System — Ceiling Clearance for Tall Drivers
BRIDE’s patented LOWMAX technology enables low positions even when seat space is tight — even when steering and seat centers are offset, LOWMAX can zero the offset (some vehicles excepted). The convex egg-shape cushion distributes pressure evenly and lets the seat rail mount low into the protrusion, ensuring head clearance even for tall drivers.
