The COBB 2015-2023 Ford Muatang EcoBoost Intercooler upgrade is the easiest way to drastically improve power when coupled with tuning from the Accessport. Even when stock, the factory FMIC can be overwhelmed with heat-soak. Computer fluid dynamic analysis during the R&D process led to air-diverting fins in the end tanks to help utilize the entirety of the larger core. With the COBB FMIC installed, your EcoBoost Mustang will come alive with the newfound colder charge air. This upgrade requires no modification to the car for an easy installation that is compatible with the factory MAP sensor.
It doesn’t take long for the factory intercooler on the EcoBoost Mustang to suffer from severe heat-soak. This starts a vicious cycle of escalating intake air temperatures that take away power. The COBB Front, Mount Intercooler upgrade keeps the charged air cooler and allows your EcoBoost Mustang to increase and maintain its power potential. Although tuning is not required, significant power gains are only experienced with tuning. The easiest tuning solution exists with the Accessport Stage 2 Off The Shelf maps. For more details on power gains and modification requirements, check out the map notes.
