The OEM 10R80 Transmission cooler is ok for stock trucks that don’t plan on towing anything, but who likes stock? The Full-Race Transmission Cooler Upgrade provides a significant 40% increase in cooling capacity over the OEM unit. The result is more stable ATf temps (around 190F at cruise and 205F under load.) Towing puts a lot more stress on the transmission, and transmission temps can quickly skyrocket, possibly leading to failure at the worst time.
