THE GARRETT G25 660 DUAL BALL BEARING TURBO (G2567R) IS THE MOST POWERFUL SMALL-FRAME TURBO

Garrett’s all-new G25-660 is smaller yet outflows all comparable products on the market. With a clean-slate ball bearing design, this turbo combines an all-new compressor and turbine aero with exotic high-temperature alloys. The Improved ported shroud inlet design offers maximum surge resistance with huge flow rates in a compact outline. Carrying nothing over from the old gen GT turbos or GTX turbos, the G-series 67mm exducer billet compressor wheel allowed engineers to push the limits of performance and redefines what we thought was possible for a given airflow range. It flows +12 lbs/min (+24.5% gain) compared to the outgoing GTX2867R Gen II turbo it supersedes.

This turbo is available in standard rotation and reverse rotation configurations. Max turbo speed is 165krpm and the max temp is 1050C/1922F. The G25 Compressor housings use a traditional 3″ inlet and 2″ hose outlet with a fully machined Speed Sensor Port. It’s sold as a complete assembly with supercore and turbine housing.

UNDERSTANDING THE NAME:

A new name designates a new generation of industry-leading technology and innovation. G25-660 “G” designates 81 years of Garrett® Turbo heritage. “25” classifies the frame size. The remaining 3 digits identify the “max horsepower” rating at the flywheel of the turbocharger. (ie 660).

Available in standard rotation and reverse rotation options for enthusiasts that want the perfect twin turbo installation or a single reverse rotation turbo for applications with installation restrictions. The CFD (computational fluid dynamics) engineered compressor wheel increases airflow up to 15% for 60mm with 79-80% efficiency. (Compared to GTX GenII)

DUAL BALL BEARING CHRA – STANDARD AND REVERSE ROTATION

All G-series turbos utilize a v-band turbine housing to CHRA connection. This improves the ease of installation, clocking, and servicing of the turbo. Each turbocharger includes a -4AN oil restrictor fitting with a 1mm restriction orifice to provide the turbo with the recommended 40psi of oil pressure. Four large water jacket ports increase cooling capacity and allow enthusiasts to customize water line routing to help improve the installation process. The turbocharger comes with two -6AN water fittings and two plugs.

G-SERIES TURBINE WHEEL AND HOUSING

The G-series turbine wheels feature all-new aerodynamics to improve flow and boost response. The industry-leading design is made of Mar-M super alloy and is capable of handling exhaust gas temperatures up to 1050 degrees C. The new G25 turbine wheel flows 15-20% more than GTX and has a peak efficiency of 74%.
