No Tune Required. Unlike other Cold Air Intakes on the market for the EcoBoost Mustangs the Injen Evolution CAI does not require a computer re-tune. The engineers at Injen designed, tuned, and dyno-tested this cold air intake to improve your Pony’s power using the stock tune.
Reusable Dry Air Filter. Injen supernano-web dry air filters are made from an oil-free, synthetic filter media for outstanding air flow, filtration, and performance. They are re-usable and can be easily cleaned by using compressed air or a common household vacuum cleaner. For best results, the supernano-web filter should be serviced every 10,000 to 20,000 miles (depending on driving conditions).
Branded Urethane Plug and Updated Air Filter. Injen designed its Evolution Cold Air Intake Systems with a branded urethane plug and updated air filter then no longer ships with the vacuum port molded into it.
Straight Forward Installation. The Injen Evolution Cold Air Intake Kit is designed to install easily with just basic hand tools. No extra modifications or special tools are required for proper installation. All necessary parts and instructions are included.
Recommended Upgrade. Even though a re-tune is not required for operation, AmericanMuscle recommends a custom tune with a Mustang Handheld Tuner to reprogram the vehicles computer (ECU) to get the best performance possible out of this cold air intake.
Application. This Injen Evolution Cold Air Intake System is specifically designed to fit the 2015-2017 EcoBoost Mustangs equipped with the turbocharged 2.3L Inline 4-cylinder engine and does not require re-tuning the vehicles computer for operation.
Technical Note. This Injen Cold Air Intake is not legal for use in California or other states adopting California emission standards.
