This intake system also includes a heat shield that isolates the filter from engine heat, ensuring that cool air is directed into the engine for maximum performance.

The JLT Performance Cold Air Intake is designed for easy installation and comes with all the necessary hardware and instructions. This cold air intake is a direct bolt-on replacement for the factory air intake system and can be installed in a matter of hours.

INTAKE TUBE
Computer-designed and HUGE!  JLT was able to design this tube to use all of the available space, the tube is 6″ at the filter end and smoothly tapering down to 4.5″ at the Throttle body side.  Keeping the intake tube a half-inch bigger than the stock throttle body in anticipation of aftermarket offerings.

HEAT SHIELD
The rotational molded plastic heat shield blocks engine heat at idle and low speed.  The intake tube passes through the heat shield to have a complete seal with the hood acting as the lid to the airbox.  The shield incorporates the fresh air inlet from the grill for the factory style ram air effect.

No tuning is required with this intake system

AIR FILTER
JLT uses only the best air filters made by S&B to their specifications. JLT love S&B’s tapered flange design and Powerstack filtered ends. With a huge 6” opening on the tube, they needed a huge filter. The result is a monster 6×9” filter.

OIL OR DRY
JLT uses only the best air filters made by S&B to their specifications.
For years the only used oiled filters, but dry filter technology has been proven and is now a popular option.

Should I choose a Dry Disposable or Cotton Oiled Filter?
Since you are not sacrificing performance with either choice, the decision comes down to would you rather throw away the filter or clean it.

Dry: Comparable airflow to oiled cotton filters with the same great protection.
Last for up to 30,000 miles of highway driving. Extend the life of the filter using compressed air.

Oil: Oiled filters can last forever as long as you properly clean and re-oil it.

MAINTENANCE
To properly clean your oil filter, JLT recommends the S&B Precision II Cleaning & Oiling Kit.
*TIP* by purchasing a 2nd air filter you can simply swap filters when it’s time to clean it and not be rushed. Clean the first filter and it’s ready when it’s time to change again.
