The street-comfort coilover for the 2015-2023 Mustang GT. KW’s entry-tier V1 with pre-set damping (KW chose the settings, you don’t tinker), adjustable ride height 1.2-2.0" front and 0.8-1.5" rear, and progressive-rate springs that don’t beat you up on rough roads. Built in Germany, TUV-approved, 2-year manufacturer warranty.

05 Installation
Standard coilover replacement of the OEM front struts and rear shock/spring assemblies. The car needs to come off the ground, springs need to be unloaded with a compressor, and the new KW assemblies bolt up to factory mount points. Plan a half-day for the full install plus an alignment appointment immediately after.
What you’ll need
- Coil-spring compressor (rentable at most parts stores)
- Standard metric socket set + torque wrench
- Jack + jack stands rated for vehicle weight
- Alignment appointment booked for same day (mandatory after install)
Time required
4-6 hours per axle pair for the install. Add a 1-hour alignment appointment same day — new ride height changes camber, caster, and toe.

What’s the difference between KW V1, V2, V3, Clubsport, and DDC?
V1 is pre-set damping — KW chose the rebound/compression settings, you adjust ride height only. Best for street drivers who want lower stance and improved handling without tinkering. V2 adds rebound adjustability. V3 adds independent compression adjustability — you can fine-tune for street comfort or track aggression. Clubsport 2-way/3-way is the track-tuned tier with stiffer spring rates and motorsport valving. DDC is electronic damping — iPhone app control or vehicle Drive Mode integration on supported chassis.
Is this a real KW part?
Yes. FFP is an authorized KW Suspension dealer. Every order comes direct from KW Automotive’s North American distribution center. No counterfeits, no third-party copies. Each kit ships in original KW packaging with serial number and warranty documentation.
Will this work with my factory MagneRide / electronic damping?
This kit is for non-MagneRide Mustangs only. If your Mustang has MagneRide (factory active electronic damping), this V1 kit will not work without an MR cancellation module. Check the trunk panel or owner’s manual for "Performance Pack 2" or "MagneRide" equipment codes before ordering. We can confirm fitment if you message us your VIN.
How long is the lead time?
KW V1 Mustang kits are typically in-stock at KW’s Buford GA distribution center. In-stock applications typically ship within 3-5 business days from KW’s Buford, GA distribution center. Backorder applications usually refill within 2-3 weeks. We send you a weekly status update if your application is on backorder.
Can I install it myself?
Most experienced DIY mechanics can install a coilover kit in 4-6 hours per axle pair with basic tools (jack stands, spring compressor, socket set, torque wrench). However: alignment is required after install — book a same-day appointment with a shop that can handle coilover geometry. If you’ve never installed coilovers before, we recommend professional install for the first kit.
