WHAT THIS DOES
The leaking rear main seal is one of the most common failures on the 4-cylinder EcoBoost — stock and built motors alike warp the flimsy stamped factory housing with its non-replaceable seal. MAPerformance replaces it with a 6061 billet aluminum housing with a serviceable, replaceable seal: it stops the oil leaks, gives a wider seal contact area, and stiffens the rear of the block.
