Power By The Hour builds these 6R80 units the same way they build the transmissions that go into their own twin turbo and supercharged cars. Every unit starts from a good core, gets the factory wear pieces replaced, then receives the PBH proprietary friction and steel pack, a custom center support bearing, a billet intermediate shaft, and a full competition assembly.
Read This Before You Order
- A torque converter is not included. You will need to select one to suit your power level and build.
- The transmission ships dry. No fluid is included.
- Every price includes a $250 handling charge and a $1,600 core charge.
- You get up to $1,600 back for your old 6R80 once it has been received and inspected. Send your core in and that charge comes back to you.
Build Levels
Pick the level that matches the power your car actually makes at the wheels. The higher tiers add billet internals to survive the load. The 4R200 four speed builds are a different gearset for heavy power applications, not a six speed.

Generation and drive type are selected separately and do not change the price. If your car makes more than 1500whp, contact us and we will spec the build with PBH directly.

Tuning
These units are built to be tuned. Lund Racing tuning is strongly recommended to get the shift strategy and line pressure right for your combination. A built transmission on a stock calibration will not behave the way it should.
Warranty
Backed by a 12 month, 12,000 mile limited warranty from the builder.
Fitment
Fits the 2015 to 2017 Ford Mustang GT with the 6R80 six speed automatic. The 2018 and newer Mustang GT automatic uses the 10R80 ten speed and this transmission will not fit it. Also used across other Ford 6R80 applications and Coyote swap builds. If you are swapping rather than replacing, contact us and we will confirm the right generation and drive type for your chassis.
