01 — What 590 HP Looks Like

Roush R2300 on a 6.2L Boss V8

The same R2300 TVS supercharger that powers the Mustang Phase 2 kit, engineered around the 6.2L Raptor engine. Stock 6.2L makes 411 HP / 434 lb-ft. With this kit, the same long-block pulls 590 HP @ 5,500 rpm and 590 lb-ft @ 4,400 rpm. Same fuel, same warranty, no internal engine work.

Power figures are SAE J1349 certified by Roush. Fits 2011-2014 Ford F-150 with the 6.2L-2v Boss V8 (Raptor and SVT trims). 50-state street legal under CARB E.O. #D-418-23.

03 — Inside The Kit

Engineered around the 6.2L Boss V8

This isn’t a Mustang kit force-fitted to a truck. Roush re-mapped the intake routing, cold air ducting, and ECU calibration for the 6.2L specifically — here’s what shows up in the gallery.

Roush cold air intake side of 2011-2014 F-150 6.2L Phase 2 supercharger kit, K&N high-flow filter on the right, ROUSH-branded intake manifold visible
Cold Air Intake SideInjection-molded air box, blow-molded clean air tube, washable high-flow dry filter, 100mm MAF tube. The cold-side ducting is the part most kits cheap out on — this one routes around the 6.2L’s factory intake manifold without crossing the firewall.
Engineering cutaway diagram of Roush 2011-2014 F-150 6.2L Phase 2 supercharger kit showing internal routing of intake manifold, exhaust manifold, headers, and cooling system
Engineering CutawayRoush’s own CAD-rendered cutaway shows the routing — intake manifold (top), exhaust path, header geometry, and the cooling stack that keeps the IC fed. This is the engineering Roush put into making it fit the Boss V8 without engine teardown.
Roush-branded R2300 TVS supercharger head unit close-up, black casting
R2300 TVS Head UnitSame Eaton TVS R2300 as the Mustang Phase 2 kit. Roots-type, twin four-lobe rotors twisted 160 degrees, high-flow inlet/outlet ports. Tuned for the 6.2L’s flow demand at the 75mm pulley boost ratio.
04 — Cooling

Built for sustained boost in a heavy truck

  • Dual-core low-temperature radiator — sized for the 6.2L’s thermal load
  • High-capacity air-to-water intercooler integrated into the lower intake
  • Custom degas bottle — prevents coolant aeration at sustained boost
  • Formed molded hoses with abrasion-resistant sleeves

The cooling stack matters more in an F-150 than a Mustang — the truck weighs 1,000+ lbs more and is asked to tow. Roush sized the IC + heat exchanger for that, not for one-and-done timed pulls.

05 — Inducted Right

Twin 60mm throttle, 100mm MAF, 47lb injectors

  • Twin 60mm throttle body with matched spacer
  • 100mm MAF tube and housing — sized for the R2300’s flow demand
  • Custom billet aluminum fuel rail with 47lb high-flow injectors
  • 75mm supercharger pulley (smaller than the Mustang’s 80mm — the boost ratio that lands at 590 HP for the 6.2L)
  • Roush cold air induction with washable, high-flow dry filter
  • Roush/Ford Racing calibrated PCM flashed via Roush Diagnostic Tool (RDT)

RDT requires Windows 10. Per Roush TSB 21-0802-AA, the diagnostic tool will not run on Windows 7 or earlier. Plan accordingly before you start the install.

06 — Compliance + Warranty

CARB E.O. #D-418-23 · 50-state legal

Same headline as the Mustang Phase 2 sibling: full 50-state street-legal certification under CARB E.O. #D-418-23. California-registered trucks, smog-checked states, fleet inspections — this kit passes them all.

  • CARB E.O. #D-418-23 — legal in all 50 states including California
  • 3-year / 36,000-mile parts warranty on Roush-supplied components
  • SAE J1349 power certification (590 HP / 590 lb-ft is independently verified)
  • Designed and engineered in Plymouth, MI

2012 Ford F-150 6.2L Boss V8 (2v) Raptor / SVT

Read before you buy:

  • Engine match: 6.2L Boss V8 ONLY. If you have a 5.0L Coyote in your F-150, you need PN 421435 (see Pairs Well With below).
  • Tuning: The included Roush calibration is US/Canada market only. Other markets need custom tuning.
  • RDT install: Windows 10 PC required. SAE J2534 communication device + OBD-II cable needed.

The matched 2011-14 F-150 lineup

If you’re building the rest of the truck around the SC, these are the Roush parts that fit the same year range and engine.
