Roush’s official Phase 2 dyno chart shows the difference: stock 5.0L Coyote tops out at 435 HP / 400 lb-ft. With the Phase 2 R2300 kit, the same engine pulls 727 HP @ 6,850 rpm and 610 lb-ft @ 5,100 rpm. Same long-block, same fuel, same J1349 spec.

What you get when you open the box
Phase 2 is a full bolt-on kit — everything that goes between the air filter and the spark plugs comes in the box. Here’s the hardware you’ll be looking at.
Twin 60mm throttle body, custom cold air, 80mm pulley

The kit is designed to install on a stock 2015-2017 5.0L without engine teardown. The PCM gets reflashed with the Roush/Ford Racing calibration via the Roush Diagnostic Tool (RDT).
RDT requires Windows 10. Per Roush TSB 21-0802-AA (Sept 2021), the diagnostic tool will not run on Windows 7 or earlier. Minimum hardware: 2.4 GHz Intel i5/i7 dual-core, 4 GB RAM, .NET 4.0+. If your shop computer is older than that, plan accordingly before you start the install.

This is the part that separates this kit from most 700+ HP packages: full 50-state street-legal certification under CARB Executive Order #D-418-29. California-registered cars, smog-checked states, lease-return inspections — this kit passes them all.

Read before you buy:
- Adaptive cruise control: Not recommended for vehicles equipped with the adaptive cruise option.
- Right-hand drive: Will physically fit, but requires P/N 422011 to complete installation.
- Outside US/Canada: The included Roush calibration only works on US/Canada market vehicles. Other markets need custom tuning (Lund Racing + nGauge NG4-V is one supported path).
- Already have Phase 1? Save money with the dedicated upgrade kit instead of buying the full Phase 2 (see Pairs Well With below).
