RW Carbon’s door handle trim sets are direct overlays in genuine hand-laid dry carbon fiber. Pop them on with 3M VHB tape, no fasteners, no paint match needed, and the carbon weave is the real deal — not a hydrodip or wrap.
Built in Anaheim, California from real dry carbon, then UV clear-coated for shine and weather protection. Pick your set: 2-Door cars (G22 4-Series Coupe, G42 2-Series Coupe, M2/M4 derivatives) get a 2-piece set; 4-Door / SUV cars (G20 sedan, X3, X4, X5, X6, X7, M3 sedan) get a 4-piece set. Choose with or without the 3M tape and surface primer kit. Install is 5-10 minutes per handle, fully reversible.

5-10 Minute Per Handle 3M Tape Install
Tape-on adhesive install — preserves all factory surfaces:
- 3M VHB tape adhesive — bonds directly to factory paint, no clips or fasteners
- No drilling — trunk lid is not modified, no body work required
- 10-15 minute job — clean surface, peel backing, press into position
- Reversible — tape lifts cleanly with heat if you ever revert to OEM
- Tools needed — isopropyl alcohol wipe, masking tape for alignment, pressure
- Cure time — 24 hours undisturbed before driving in rain or washing
- No tuning required — cosmetic part, no ECU work
- Surface temp — install above 60°F for best 3M adhesion
Ceramic-coated cars: The trunk lid attachment area must be polished or buffed to remove the ceramic layer before install — 3M VHB and primer don’t bond reliably to ceramic-coated paint. Standard sealants and waxes are fine.

Which BMW chassis do these fit?
These trims fit a wide range of G-chassis BMWs that share the OE door handle design: G20 / G80 (3-Series / M3 sedan), G22 / G82 (4-Series / M4 coupe), G42 (2-Series Coupe), X3 (G01), X4 (G02), X5 (G05), X6 (G06), X7 (G07), plus most other G-chassis variants. Should I order the Trims Only or the +3M Tape kit?
Order the +3M Tape and Promoter kit ($20) unless you already have automotive-grade 3M VHB tape and surface primer on hand. The kit ships pre-cut for the door handle trim footprint — saves time and ensures correct adhesion.
Is this real carbon fiber or hydrodip / wrap?
Real dry carbon fiber. Hand-laid carbon fabric with rigid resin blend, then clear-coated. You can see and feel the genuine weave — this is not a printed plastic part with a carbon-look finish.
Will it remove cleanly if I sell the car or go back to stock?
Yes. 3M VHB tape lifts cleanly with moderate heat (heat gun or hair dryer) and patient peeling. Any residue cleans off with adhesive remover — the factory trunk lid paint underneath is untouched.
What if my car is ceramic coated?
The trunk lid attachment area must be polished or buffed to remove ceramic before install. 3M VHB doesn’t bond reliably to ceramic-coated paint. The rest of the car’s ceramic stays intact — only the spoiler footprint needs prep.
Can I drive immediately after install?
Yes for normal driving. RW recommends 24 hours undisturbed before driving in heavy rain or running through a car wash — gives the 3M VHB full cure time.
