How do I know if I have a Gran Coupe vs Coupe/Convertible?
If your 8-Series has 4 doors, you have a G16 Gran Coupe — pick that option. If your 8-Series is a 2-door coupe (G15) or convertible (G14), pick the G14/G15 Coupe/Convertible option. M8 and M8 Competition follow the same rule based on body style. If you’re unsure, the rear chassis VIN designator on your registration confirms it: G14 / G15 / G16.
Will I need to repaint anything?
No. The diffuser is finished in clear-coated dry carbon fiber and bolts onto factory mounting points without any cutting or paint work. If you want a body-color accent on top of the carbon, that is optional and not required for fit.
Is this real carbon fiber or hydrodip / wrap?
Real dry carbon fiber — hand-laid carbon fabric with rigid resin blend, then clear-coated. You can see and feel the genuine weave. This is a structural carbon part, not a printed plastic shell with a carbon-look finish.
Will it remove cleanly if I sell the car or go back to stock?
Yes. The diffuser unbolts at the factory mounting points and the OE lower bumper section is preserved. Reversal takes about as long as the original install — 30-45 minutes.
Will the diffuser fit with my factory exhaust tips?
