The 296’s factory exhaust is engineered for compliance, not character. It’s heavy, restrictive, and tunes down the voice of the twin-turbo V6 hybrid. The RYFT Titanium Race Exhaust replaces it with a 100% titanium system, carefully hand-built, that strips weight, opens throttle response, and delivers what RYFT calls an ‘unmistakable and distinctive acoustic signature’ — produced by their proprietary velocity loops.

Professional installation strongly recommended on all Ferrari platforms. The 296 GTB / GTS platform requires specialized lift access and trained technicians familiar with hybrid powertrain electrical isolation procedures. Function Factory Performance offers expert in-house installation in Thousand Oaks, CA. If you’re installing through your own technician, the high-level steps are:
- 1Lift the vehicle and disconnect the high-voltage hybrid system per Ferrari service procedure (qualified technician only).
- 2Remove the OE rear undertray, heat shielding, and exhaust hangers.
- 3Detach OE muffler section from the downpipe at the factory clamp.
- 4Position the RYFT Titanium Race Exhaust onto the OE mounting points using the supplied stainless hardware.
- 5Torque all clamps and hangers to spec, reinstall heat shielding and undertray.
- 6Reconnect the hybrid system, complete the dealer-level cycle check, and verify clean idle/rev under load.
RYFT provides a manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Coverage does not extend to damage from impact, accident, incorrect installation, off-design use, or normal wear. Specific warranty terms are provided by RYFT at order confirmation — Function Factory will share written warranty terms with your order documentation.
