Steeda Mustang Strut Tower Cutting Tool (2015-2023)

Steeda’s strut tower cutting tool allows you to fully utilize your Steeda camber plates and dial in extreme negative camber without hacking up your strut towers or removing your struts!

Dial-in Impressive angles. Even after installing a Steeda camber plate, you might not be able to get the alignment specs you need due to interference between the strut nut and strut tower. In this instance, opening up the hole diameter in your strut tower is mandatory to achieve the handling performance you desire without compromise.

Clean stock appearance. Steeda’s tool design uses a premium-grade metal cutting hole saw to produce a perfectly concentric hole centered on the factory original rather than notching the strut tower with a cut-off wheel or die grinder. Using the outer diameter of the Delrin guide plug, the cutting teeth produce a clean cut that can be deburred with fine sandpaper to prevent finger cuts when making alignment adjustments. The Morse hole saw Steeda uses in their kit is specifically designed to cut metal, not wood, and provides the fastest and cleanest cut possible. The raw metal edge can be sanded smooth and finished with regular paint or touch-up paint matching your body color for a near-identical appearance.

No hassle, mod. Until now, no other product has allowed you to enlarge your strut tower hole without removing your struts or taking your car in for realignment. Steeda designed their tool with a clearance hole in the Delrin guide plug that fits over OE and most aftermarket strut nuts. Furthermore, the Steeda design does not use a drill bushing that relies on the 1/4″ pilot bit to center the hole. The smooth Delrin bushing provides perfect self-alignment and cannot snap like a 1/4″ pilot bit in the middle of the hole-cutting operation.

Compatible with most hole saw arbors. The 2-3/4″ hole saw Steeda uses is universally compatible with most hole saw arbors with a threaded 5/8″-18 threaded inner diameter regardless of pilot bit since our design eliminates the need for a 1/4″ pilot drill bit.

Non-returnable, no warranty part. The hole saw included with this kit is a consumable item, meaning it will become dull after multiple uses, and teeth can chip off due to operator error at excessive drill speed. The Delrin pilot plug may also become worn due to the sacrificial nature of its precise self-centering design. Using slow drill RPM, moderate pressure, and cutting oil on both the Delrin plug and Bi-metal cutting teeth will maximize the life of this tool. We believe your Mustang is an investment that justifies the expense of doing the job correctly with this tool and will maintain the value of your car.

Product Benefits:

  • Self-centering design for the cleanest-cut possible
  • Metal cutting specific blade for cleanest and fastest cut
  • Allows for extreme alignment specs
  • Strut removal is not required in most cases
