Overview
The TECHART Front Bumper Air Outlet Grilles are the precision-finished outer trim pieces that sit inboard of the 992 Carrera’s front intakes. They replace the factory plastic inserts with purpose-designed TECHART components built to the same tolerances as the rest of their Individualization Program — the same program used by TECHART GTsport and TECHART Formula IV car builds.
Every piece is shipped in primer, ready to be painted to your car’s exact color code or finished in contrast (gloss black, matte black, silver, or custom body-color accent). This is a visible trim piece — TECHART expects it to be finished by a professional paint shop to OEM standards, which is why they ship it unpainted rather than pre-finished.

Installation
- Professional installation recommended. This is a visible painted trim — gap alignment, paint match, and edge finish are easier for a body shop to get right than a DIY install.
- Paint prep — scuff primer with 320-grit, wipe with Panel Wipe, allow flash, then base / color / clear per your paint shop’s SOP. TECHART’s primer is compatible with all modern 2K urethane and water-base systems.
- Fitment — bolts to factory mounting points on the 992.1 Carrera front apron. No drilling, no cutting. Original plastic OEM inserts remove with trim tool + factory clips.
- Time — 30–45 minutes at the body shop post-paint. Factory clips are single-use; have replacements on hand.
- Paint matching — bring your paint code OR have the shop spray a blend card from your front fender for exact match. Porsche color codes are printed on the door jamb plate.
