TTE Billet Compressor
Each compressor wheel is CNC-milled from a solid billet blank in a 7+7 blade configuration with a 60mm inlet. The compressor housing is machined to the optimum gap to match the new compressor profile — maximizing airflow efficiency across the entire boost range.
High-Flow 9-Blade Turbine
TTE’s proprietary 9-blade turbine design with a 54mm outlet is engineered for greater exhaust gas flow, reduced backpressure, and lower exhaust gas temperatures. The turbine housing is CNC-milled to accept the larger wheel while maintaining the factory VTG mechanism.
Precision VSR Balancing
Every component is individually balanced at up to 2,800 RPM across multiple planes, then assembled and dynamically balanced as a complete CHRA at speeds up to 250,000 RPM. This multi-stage process eliminates vibration, extends bearing life, and improves acoustic character. Each unit ships with a serialized balance test certificate.
Full VTG Retention
Unlike fixed-geometry turbo upgrades, the TTE1200 VTG retains the factory variable turbine geometry system. This means the GT2 RS keeps its instant throttle response at low RPM and seamless power delivery through the entire rev range — no boost threshold compromise.
How It Works

TTE begins with the original Borg Warner VTG turbocharger as the base unit. The factory compressor wheel is removed and replaced with a significantly larger TTE billet 7+7 blade wheel. The compressor cover is precision-machined to match the new compressor profile for optimal tip clearance. On the exhaust side, the turbine housing is CNC-milled to accept TTE’s proprietary lightweight 9-blade turbine, which flows more exhaust gas while reducing backpressure and EGTs.

After machining, every component goes through TTE’s multi-stage balancing process: individual parts are balanced at low speeds across multiple planes, then the fully assembled CHRA is dynamically balanced at up to 250,000 RPM on TTE’s high-speed VSR equipment. The result is a turbocharger that performs like new, sounds refined, and is certified with documentation.

ℹ Cross-Fitment Note
The TTE1200 VTG can be fitted to any Porsche 3.8L engine with VTG control. Non-GT2 RS applications require GT2 RS exhaust manifolds (different turbo flange), along with compatible oil lines, water lines, charge pipes, and turbo intakes.

Send your original GT2 RS turbochargers to TTE. They strip, upgrade, balance, and certify your existing units. You get them back as fully upgraded TTE1200 VTG turbochargers.

Software recalibration is mandatory after installing the TTE1200 VTG turbochargers. The factory ECU map is not optimized for the increased airflow capacity and must be updated by a qualified Porsche tuner to achieve safe, reliable power delivery.
