Direct OEM-replacement blow-off valve for the standard Ford Explorer 3.0L EcoBoost V6 (non-ST trims). Plug-and-play install, electronically actuated, retains stock recirc + atmospheric vent on demand. Tuned to the OEM compressor map for the Explorer 3.0L V6 platform — not the 2.3L EcoBoost or 3.0L ST, those use different VR-spec valves.
Why Replace Your OEM BOV
The factory OEM blow-off valve on the Explorer EcoBoost V6 is plastic-housed and prone to diaphragm failure under any boost increase. Once it leaks, you lose boost, you lose responsiveness, and the engine pulls timing under what should be normal driving. Turbosmart’s Kompact Dual Port is the OEM-fit solution: same flange, same connector, same ECU compatibility — but a billet body, replaceable diaphragm, and dual-port architecture that lets you tune the recirculation/atmospheric ratio.
Dual-Port means: full recirc back into the inlet (stock-quiet, factory-friendly drivability) plus a partial atmospheric vent for the audible “pshhh” under heavy boost. You get the best of both setups in one valve.
