What’s CV Fabrication?
CV Fabrication — CVF Racing — is an ISO-9001 certified, US-based performance fabrication shop that built its reputation on EcoBoost cooling and exhaust components. Their Titan v2 intercooler is the part most F-150 EcoBoost owners cite when they say their truck stopped heat-soaking on hard pulls. Their race-spec stainless downpipes for the 2.7L and 3.5L EcoBoost trucks are the standard tune-shops spec when a customer wants real backpressure reduction.
Where CVF separates from cheap eBay parts: real manufacturing tolerances, mandrel-bent piping, OEM-style flanges, and bolt-on fitment. The Titan v2 fits the OEM core mount points without modification. The downpipes accept the OEM o2 sensors and bolt to factory studs. You install it once, it works, and your O2 sensor doesn’t throw codes.
Why CVF > Generic EcoBoost Parts
Titan v2 Intercooler Geometry
Bar & plate core, optimized for the OEM mount points. Real IAT drops measured on F-150 2.7L and 3.5L — 30-60°F lower at boost vs. stock.
Stainless Race + Catted Downpipes
Mandrel-bent 304 stainless. Choose Race (no cat) for max flow on tune, or Catted (high-flow metallic cat) to keep CEL-free and emissions-friendly.
HKS & TiAL BOV Flange Options
Mustang EcoBoost & Focus ST piping kits available with HKS SSQV or TiAL Q blow-off valve flanges — or stock OEM compatible.
ISO 9001 Certified
Real manufacturing QC. Not an eBay garage build. The tolerances, welds, and flange machining are inspected to spec.

Pick Your Build
The progression most CVF customers follow on a Ford EcoBoost build.
The Heat-Soak Fix
Titan v2 or Race Intercooler. The single most impactful EcoBoost upgrade — drops IATs 30-60°F at boost. Bolts to OEM mount points.
The Flow Unlock
Race or Catted Downpipes. Mandrel-bent stainless, OEM o2 sensor compatible. Pair with a tune to unlock the real numbers.
The Piping Pass
Hot+Cold Aluminum Piping Kit. Replaces the flexible OEM hoses with mandrel-bent aluminum. Add HKS or TiAL BOV flange if you want a real diverter.
The Power Pack Send
Race Power Pack or Titan Max Power Pack. Intercooler + piping + downpipe + filter together — one bundle, one weekend, all the gains.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Race and Catted downpipes?
Race downpipes have no catalytic converter — they offer maximum flow and the loudest, most aggressive note. They will throw a CEL on a stock tune and won’t pass emissions inspection. You need a tune that disables the rear o2 sensor and they’re intended for off-road/track use only.
Catted downpipes include a high-flow metallic catalytic converter — they keep the engine CEL-free, are emissions-friendlier (though still typically off-road in CA), and only sacrifice a small amount of peak flow vs. race units. Catted is the right call for daily-driven trucks. Race is for tuned, off-road, or track builds.
What is the Titan v2 intercooler and why is it the F-150 default?
The Titan v2 is CVF’s flagship F-150 EcoBoost intercooler — bar-and-plate core construction, sized to maximize cooling area while still bolting to the OEM mount points. Real-world IAT (intake air temp) drops on F-150 2.7L and 3.5L are typically 30-60°F lower at boost compared to the OEM stamped plastic-end-tank IC. That translates to less heat-soak on hard pulls, more consistent power, and longer tune duration before pulling timing for heat. The Titan Max Power Pack bundles it with downpipes for the complete cooling + flow upgrade.
Will CVF parts work with my COBB / SCT / nGauge tune?
Yes — all CVF intercoolers and piping kits are tune-transparent (they just lower IATs, no fueling/timing impact). Downpipes need a tune that’s been calibrated for them: COBB Stage 2+, SCT custom tunes, or any reputable Mustang/F-150 tuner’s “downpipe-required” map. If you’re running CVF Race downpipes you specifically need a tune that disables the rear o2 readiness monitor. We can match you to the right tuner if needed.
What is the difference between the Titan v2 and the Atlas v2 intercoolers?
Both are F-150 EcoBoost intercoolers. Titan v2 is the larger, higher-flow core — the right choice for 2.7L and 3.5L F-150s pushing toward 500+ wheel HP and high-boost tunes. Atlas v2 is the slightly more compact option — targeted at the 2011-2014 3.5L EcoBoost owner who wants meaningful IAT drops but doesn’t need the maximum-tier core. Functionally: if you’re aggressive-tuned and tracking the truck, Titan v2. If you’re modestly tuned and want a clean upgrade, Atlas v2.
HKS vs TiAL flange on the Mustang EcoBoost / Focus ST piping kit — which one?
Depends on which blow-off valve you’re running:
• HKS SSQV — iconic recirculating “chirp” sound, mid-price, very common on Japanese tuner builds. Get the HKS flange option.
• TiAL Q / QR / Sport Q — premium American-made, larger valve area, true vent-to-atmosphere capability. Get the TiAL flange option.
• Stock BOV / OEM — get the standard piping kit without an aftermarket flange.
You can’t swap between flanges later without buying a new pipe, so pick the BOV first then the matching flange.
Does my Bronco need both the intercooler and the turbo-back exhaust?
They solve different problems. The turbo-back exhaust system opens up flow from the turbo all the way out the back — gives you the sound, mid-range torque pickup, and slightly improved spool. The performance intercooler drops IATs so the 2.3L doesn’t pull timing under sustained boost (especially on the trail or in hot weather). If budget is limited and you’re mostly daily driving + light off-road: exhaust first for the experience. If you’re running it hot, towing, or planning a tune: intercooler first. Together they’re the bolt-on baseline build.
Will CVF downpipes fit with my OEM oxygen sensors?
Yes — CVF downpipes are designed to accept the OEM o2 sensors in their factory locations (M18x1.5 bungs). You unbolt the sensors from the OEM downpipe, transfer them to the CVF unit, and reconnect. Race downpipes will trigger a CEL on the rear o2 readiness monitor without a tune that disables it. Catted downpipes typically stay CEL-free with the OEM rear o2 in place because the high-flow cat still reads as functional to the ECU.
Does FFP install CVF parts?
Yes — our Thousand Oaks, CA shop installs CVF parts regularly. Common installs: Titan v2 intercooler swap + piping kit + downpipes (typically 4-6 hours on an F-150), full Bronco turbo-back exhaust install, Mustang EcoBoost Race Power Pack, Focus ST charge pipe + BOV flange swap. Every install includes pre-tune verification, fitment check, and torque-spec confirmation.
