The 8th generation (C8) of the Chevrolet Corvette is an engineering marvel; designed to be a World-Class American sports car with exceptional power and handling. However, the Corvette engineers left some room for aerodynamic enhancement that lower lap times and increase driver confidence. Adding a set of Control Arm Guide Strakes is a simple modification that provides a marked improvement in the aero balance for your Corvette Stingray or Z06! The Verus Engineering Control Arm Guide Strakes were developed to improve the aero balance of the C8 Corvette. By creating strong vortices in a dirty area of the underbody the Control Arm Guide Strakes are able to reduce drag and increase the downforce generated by working the underbody of the Corvette harder. On a vehicle equipped with our Splitter , Swan Neck UCW Rear Wing , and Rear Diffuser , these simple and effective strakes increased total downforce by 3% with no increase in drag. More importantly, they shift the aero balance forward by 4.5%, allowing the end user to dial in more angle of attack on a rear wing. This means more downforce for the same aero balance! Installation is simple and completely reversible. These Control Arm Guide Strakes provide a simple yet highly effective performance solution to those who are looking to increase downforce and gain overall driving satisfaction. Note: GM part numbers 85642606 and 85642607 are required for installation.
