Each R1 Competizione bumper is hand-laid by Muscle Auto Zone after your order is placed. This is not a stocked part.
Build time: 4 to 6 weeks from order date. Carbon vent finishes add 1 to 2 weeks. Freight shipping runs 5-7 business days on top of build time.
Total order-to-delivery: typically 5 to 8 weeks. Build slots are assigned at checkout and cannot be expedited.

Overview
The R1 Competizione is Muscle Auto Zone’s flagship aggressive front bumper for the 2024-2026 Ford Mustang S650. Engineered in-house and hand-laid in the USA, it transforms the front end with motorsport-derived geometry: extended chin, integrated carbon front splitter, and optional canards for serious track presence.
Direct-fit OEM replacement across all S650 trims — EcoBoost, GT, and Dark Horse. No cutting required. Mounts to factory hard points using OEM mounting hardware. Reuses your factory fog light grilles, tow-hook structure, and parking sensors (if equipped).

Material Options
Fiberglass: Standard hand-laid fiberglass shell, fully primed and paint-ready. Lightest option, fastest build time. Best when you’re painting body color or going with a custom finish.
Fiberglass + Carbon Vent: Fiberglass shell with a wet-carbon-fiber center vent panel. The carbon section is laid up separately and hand-bonded into the bumper. Perfect for a two-tone OEM-style look where the body matches paint and the vent stays raw clear-coated carbon.
Canard material follows the bumper choice — choose Fiberglass canards on the Fiberglass option, Carbon canards on the Carbon Vent option. Canards bolt to mounting tabs molded into the bumper sides; mounting hardware is included with the canard option.

Build, Install & Care
Factory finish: ships gel-coated and primed (fiberglass body) with raw clear-coated wet-carbon vent on Carbon Vent variants. Final body-color paint, primer block, and color-coat are not included — plan body shop paint work to color-match your vehicle.
Install time: typically 3-4 hours of professional shop time. Body shop install recommended due to paint prep requirements. Reuses OEM mounting hardware and OEM fog light/sensor housings.
Care: hand wash only. Avoid high-pressure spray on bumper edges and splitter mount points. The carbon vent benefits from yearly UV protectant application to prevent yellowing of the resin clearcoat over time.
