The R1 Evo Widebody is hand-laid by Muscle Auto Zone after your order is placed. This is not a stocked kit — production begins after order placement and is queued in MAZ’s shop.
Build time by configuration: Rear Fiberglass kits ship in 8-10 weeks. Carbon vent variants add 2-4 weeks. Full carbon-fiber kits run 16-20 weeks for the full layup. Freight runs 5-7 business days on top of build time.
Total order-to-delivery: typically 10 to 20 weeks depending on selected configuration. Build slots are assigned at checkout and cannot be expedited.

The R1 Evo is Muscle Auto Zone’s flagship widebody conversion for the 2024-2026 Mustang S650. Inspired by modern GT and time-attack race cars, this kit was developed with a focus on stance, airflow, and real performance function — not exposed hardware or cosmetic-only width.
The full kit increases total vehicle width by 7 inches at the front and 5.5 inches at the rear, delivering a significantly wider track and aggressive presence while maintaining clean OEM body lines through a flush-mounted, rivet-free installation.
All major aero surfaces were refined using CFD analysis. The kit reuses OEM mounting hard points where possible, and ships in raw fiberglass / carbon ready for body shop paint and prep.
Six configurations available across two axes — Coverage (Rear conversion or Full conversion) and Material (Fiberglass / Fiberglass + Carbon Vent / Full Carbon Fiber).

Rear Conversion (+5.5 inches): rear quarter panel widening plus the supporting flares, side skirts, and rear-bumper integration. Pairs well with stock front fascia for a “hot rod” rear-staggered stance.
Full Conversion (+7 inches front, +5.5 inches rear): rear conversion plus front fender flares, front bumper extensions, and front splitter integration. Squared front-and-rear footprint for race-car presence and matched track-width.
Fiberglass: hand-laid fiberglass shell, fully primed and paint-ready. Lightest budget option with fastest build time.
Fiberglass + Carbon Vent: fiberglass body with raw wet-carbon vent insert panels for two-tone OEM-style aesthetics where the body matches paint and the vents stay raw clear-coated carbon.
Full Carbon Fiber: entire kit hand-laid in autoclave-cured carbon fiber. Premium weight savings, factory-spec OEM panel weave, longest build time and highest investment.

Direct-fit conversion across all 2024-2026 Mustang S650 trims:
Mounts to factory hard points with flush-fit rivet-free installation. Reuses OEM body lines where possible. Full conversion may require fender liner trimming for clearance with wider wheel-and-tire packages.

Factory finish: ships gel-coated and primed (fiberglass) with raw clear-coated wet-carbon for vent / carbon variants. Body-color paint and color-coat are not included — plan body shop work for paint match and panel prep.
Install: professional body shop install required. Rear conversion typically 12-16 hours. Full conversion 20-30 hours including front fender adaptation and bumper integration. Wheel-and-tire fitment should be planned before paint to confirm clearance.
Care: hand wash only. Avoid high-pressure spray on flare seams and bumper attachment points. Carbon panels benefit from yearly UV protectant application to prevent yellowing of resin clearcoat.
