Overview
The UPR Plug N Play Single Valve Oil Catch Can is the purpose-built PCV trap for the 2024-2025 Ford Ranger platform. Works on the 2.7L EcoBoost Ranger AND the 3.0L Ranger Raptor – one kit, both trucks. Single-stage multi-chamber separator with 4-stage oil diffusion catches the vapor at the source before it rides into your intake.
Ranger 2.7L and 3.0L EcoBoost engines blow by significant oil vapor at mid-to-high load. Stock PCV routes that vapor right back into the intake charge, where it coats the intercooler core, degrades charge-cooler efficiency over time, and builds carbon on intake valves (GDI engines can’t self-clean like port-injected engines). This kit traps the oil before it ever touches the hot side of combustion.

Installation
- Time: 10 minutes for a first-timer with basic tools.
- Difficulty: Plug-and-play. No drilling, no wiring mods, no tune.
- Tools: 10mm socket, flat-blade screwdriver for PCV quick-connect release, pliers for hose-end retention clips.
- Bracket mount: OEM hard points – bolts to factory-tapped locations.
- Remove factory fitting: Press collar inward, pull apart. Held by a retention clip – hold the ring firmly, it wants to stay seated.
- First drain: Check after 500-1000 miles. Expect 1-3 oz of captured oil on the first check. Drain interval stretches as blow-by stabilizes.
